Miles for Miracles 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run:. Saturday, October 11th at 8 a.m. at STARS & STRIPES PARK at N. Portland & Lake Hefner Drive in Oklahoma City, OK
Welcome to the innaugural running of the Miles for Miracles. Featuring a USATF certified 5 kilometer race, this event is a flat course along the beautiful Lake Hefner in West Oklahoma City. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will begin at 8a.m. and the 5K race will be at 8:30a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2008.
The Miles for Miracles 5K was established as a fundraiser for the Ellie Kate Foundation and March of Dimes. The Ellie Kate Foundation was established to help fund reasearch for rare genetic diseases and to help families in the same situation as the McLaughlins were with Ellie Kate.
The Miles for Miracles will include the following Racing Events:
- 5K Race*
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
*After the race, we will be giving medals to the top 3 in each of the following age groups in both Male and Female: 1-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
*The top Male & Female overall winners will receive a free pair of shoes from The Runner. There will also be items raffled off during the awards ceremony including a $50 gift card to Pearl’s Restaurants, items from Lorec Ranch, a JC Watts autographed football.
*The 5K Race will be Chip Timed by DG Productions.
